About
The Book
We are witnessing a shift within the collective, a once-in-a-lifetime awakening into a more personal way of being. In Human Design, an over 400-year-old cycle is coming to a close. What arrives next is the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix, one that calls for our individual rise. This isn't separation. It's Individuation: the slow work of becoming who you actually are. Not what separates you from the whole, but what lets you belong to it.
The Longest Journey is your companion for that work, with Human Design as a map. We look at where our conditioning quietly hides. At how often fear arrives dressed up as intuition. And at how to tell self-empowerment from the counterfeit that speaks its exact language.
All of it with your heart open. That part is harder than it sounds, and it is the only way any of this works.
No prior knowledge of Human Design needed. Just a willingness and a curiosity to look.

Chapter 5: The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix
"Like the Phoenix, you too are being called to be reborn. Yes, it can feel very scary, especially when we hang on so tightly to a certain identity. But this rebirth has a purpose. It is calling for us not just to rise, but to also re-discover who we are; our core essence. Through this rebirth we will become our own authority. We will connect with ourselves, our spirit, which is a part of a far greater consciousness. It will encourage us to say, what do I need? and, this doesn’t work for me. We will look inwards and reconnect with our intuition, our guidance system, our sovereignty. In this Age of Self-Empowerment we will begin to see through the veil. What we thought was reality will shift. And what we arrive at is not excitement. It is something closer to grief.
Because seeing through the veil is only half of it. The other half is realizing the veil was there all along. That it has been there your entire life. That it is still sitting over almost everyone you love, not because they are oblivious, but because it was built that way. Fear is remarkably effective. It keeps people small and agreeable, and most of us have spent our lives carrying wounds we were handed and told they were ours.
That is a humbling thing to see, to experience. It does not make you superior. It makes you humble, tender.
Which is why the heart matters more now, not less. It would certainly be easier to close it. Seeing clearly is lonely at times, and grief naturally desires armour. But an open heart is what works in this. It is what lets you release an old identity without panicking. It is what lets you trust yourself before you can explain why. The heart is not simply how we navigate what is coming. It is the point of it. The heart is our compass, guiding us as we step into this new paradigm of Self-Empowerment, of our Individuation.
As we continue to explore this transformation, we’ll turn our focus to a planetary force that influences our journey: Pluto. This is the planet of deep, soul-level change. It urges us to confront the hidden parts of ourselves and shed what no longer serves. In the next chapter we will dive into Pluto’s mutative role and how its cycles illuminate the path to personal and collective rebirth. A path that ultimately leads us back to the heart."
"There is no arriving. There is only returning, over and over, to yourself."
